INTRODUCTION

The students will be using a webquest that I have created called the Black Plague webquest.  During this web quest the students will take a journey through Europe during the height of the Black Plague epidemic in an effort to discover the cause of the disease and how it affects people stricken with the disease.  They will also explore where the disease came from and how badly it impacted Europe.

The webquest will be set up like an actual quest with a story line.  In this quest the students are given an assignment from the Pope to explore Europe documenting the effects of the plague and all the information that they can discover about the deadly black plague.  The only problem is that they will be working against a timer and if their time runs out they may be stricken with the disease.  Their fate will be determined on how educated they become about the disease in order to avoid it.
